Butterfly Weed, Zebra Swallowtail, and Kittens

By | June 12, 2017

While working in the garden, I noticed that a zebra swallowtail butterfly was feasting on the large patch of orange milkweed called butterfly weed established below the deck. Grabbed camera, and got some shots of it. Here are a few.

Calvin (the gray kitten) and Pepper (the tortico), have been with us for a year now. We got them from the shelter while they were little kittens over a year ago. They appear to be adjusting to the harsh living conditions for cats in our household.
