January 2009, a New Year, and a Serious Snow Storm
January 1, 2009. We saw the new year in with a traditional Southern dinner, served close to noon, that included blackeyed peas, greens (this year it was collards grown in last year’s garden and frozen to save), ham, and Southern-style cornbread.
